Introducing Mobile Boarding Passes |
|
|
Did you know that when you travel on select American Airlines/American Eagle itineraries, you can have your boarding pass sent right to your mobile phone?
Since November 2008, if your American Airlines/American Eagle flight originated from Chicago O'Hare (ORD), Los Angeles International (LAX) or Santa Ana John Wayne/Orange County (SNA) airports, AA.com gave you the option to have your boarding pass sent directly to your mobile device - saving paper and time. This service has since been expanded to include flights originating from:
Albuquerque (ABQ), Atlanta (ATL), Austin (AUS), Charlotte (CLT), Cleveland (CLE), Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), Denver (DEN), El Paso (ELP), Houston George
Bush Intercontinental (IAH), Jacksonville (JAX), Las Vegas (LAS), Little Rock (LIT), Memphis (MEM), Minneapolis/St. Paul (MSP), New York LaGuardia (LGA),
Oklahoma City (OKC), Orlando (MCO), Phoenix (PHX), Salt Lake City (SLC), San Antonio (SAT), San Diego (SAN), San Francisco (SFO), Tulsa (TUL), and
Washington Dulles (IAD) airports.
If you have only one passenger listed on your record locator*, just follow the easy steps below for select itineraries departing from ABQ, ATL, AUS, CLE,
CLT, DEN, DFW, ELP, IAD, IAH, JAX, LAS, LAX, LGA, LIT, MCO, MEM, MSP, OKC, ORD, PHX, SAN, SAT, SFO, SLC, SNA or TUL:
How to use the new Mobile Boarding Pass
- Check in on AA.com (or AA.com
Mobile). Choose "Email for
use on Cell Phone or other Mobile
Device" option and include the email
address for your web-enabled mobile
phone and/or mobile device.
- Check your email from your mobile device. Follow the link on the email to retrieve your Mobile Boarding Pass.
- Save the boarding pass to your device. Click the "Save Boarding Pass" button directly below the barcode to save it to your phone for easy access at the security checkpoint (check your phone/PDA manual to locate where the Boarding Pass will save).
- Proceed to Security.
When you arrive at security,
make sure the entire barcode
is visible on the screen of
your mobile phone or mobile device and
have the backlight setting set to the
brightest mode possible. If you have
any problems, you will be given the
opportunity to print a paper boarding
pass at the Self-Service machines.
