TSA Secure Flight Information

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA), a US government entity, has
announced the implementation of a new directive known as Secure Flight Programme.

Secure Flight was developed by the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and is
designed to enhance the security of commercial air travel.

Under the new Secure Flight policy, the TSA mandates that airlines collect specific information from passengers when
making reservations. The required information is known as Secure Flight Passenger Data (SFPD). American Airlines is
working closely with the TSA on Secure Flight and will comply with all government requirements ensuring the necessary
information is collected in all reservations and sent to the TSA in advance.

What does this mean for you?

For reservations ticketed after 15th September you will be asked to provide the following data when you are booking a flight on AA.com:

- Full name (as it appears on your passport)
- Date of birth
- Gender
- Redress Number (if applicable)*

If you don't have this information available at the time you are making a booking, contact our
Reservations Center with your record locator on hand. Provide the above information for all ticketed
reservations for American Airlines US domestic and international flights prior to your departure.

NOTE: If you are an AAdvantage member you can store your Secure Flight details to your AAdvantage account profile.
Go to www.aa.com/MyAccount, login with your AAdvantage number and password and add your Secure Flight details
on the "contact information and password" tab. Once you have saved the data to your profile, you will not need to
contact our Reservations Center as long as your AAdvantage number is included on your reservation. For more details,
please visit our Secure Flight FAQ.

For more information about the Secure Flight Program, please visit TSA's Secure Flight website.+

*A Redress number is a TSA issued code assigned to certain passengers whose names have erroneously appeared on the
watch list.
