Getting There
Manchester is well served with bus, coach, train and good road access to and from the airport.
By bus
Manchester Airport has a comprehensive bus network serving areas in and around the city. Skyline buses operate to and from the airport on a half-hourly basis, starting early in the morning until late in the night.
By coach
National Express run an extensive range of coach services to and from Manchester Airport covering the whole of the UK.
Services run daily to Terminal 1 Bus Station and Terminal 2 Arrivals Hall, (and for Terminal 3, use Terminal 1 facilities).
By train
There is a frequent train service between the airport and Manchester Piccadilly. Six trains an hour run throughout the day, Monday to Saturday - and there are four on Sundays. In addition, there are services throughout the night. Many trains continue to Manchester Oxford Road and Deansgate.
Train services operate to the Airport every day, except December 25th and 26th, from many stations in Northern England and the Midlands.
There are trains direct to and from Sheffield, York, Leeds, Huddersfield, Manchester, Bolton, Preston and Blackpool throughout the night.
By taxi
Manchester City Council licenses all taxis on the ranks at Manchester Airport.
By car
The airport roads display colour-coded cubes - these indicate the best route to take to each terminal and its car parks. You need to get into the appropriate lane as marked by the coded cube.
