American Airlines' Park Avenue Premium Check-in facility at London Heathrow's Terminal 3 will temporarily move to a new home while London Heathrow airport undergoes renovation between June 2006 and November 2007.
From Tuesday 13th June, 2006 the new site will be adjacent to the front of the main terminal, between zones C and D, directly across the car drop-off zone from the present location. Customers can be dropped off in the second lane of the forecourt in front of the facility.
The Park Avenue concept was first introduced in 2001 and enables American's First Class, Business Class and AAdvantage elite-status members to completely bypass Heathrow's busy Terminal 3 check-in area by offering a private, relaxed alternative.
In the new facility a dedicated team will assist passengers with seat selection and boarding passes, and check baggage away from the hubbub of the main terminal check-in area. Customers may then proceed directly to the departure area via fast-track security, and from there on to one of American's air-side lounges.
American currently operates up to 16 daily trans-Atlantic flights from London Heathrow to Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami and New York. For bookings and flight information go to www.americanairlines.co.uk.
