AA Expands Self Service Check-in Options at London Heathrow

As part of the airline's ongoing commitment to improve its passengers' travel experiences, American Airlines has recently increased the number of self service check-in machines available for use by passengers travelling through London Heathrow Airport.

Now at London Heathrow the total number of available self service check-in machines increase from just four to fourteen. The new machines will be more centrally located in American's check-in area in zone B and will be jointly shared with fellow oneworld partner Cathay Pacific. The existing machines both in the main check-in area and in American's Flagship Check-in at zone H have already proven popular by enabling passengers to manage, amongst other things, their own check-in process and selection of preferred seating.

Clive Cook, General Manager London Heathrow, American Airlines, commented: "We are delighted to be able to offer our customers expanded check-in facilities to help improve their travel experience with American. Customers will of course still be able to check-in with an agent should they prefer but we expect the additional self service machines to prove a great addition, particularly since they are available for use by all passengers, whether travelling in First Class, Business Class or Economy".
