oneworld tailfins

oneworld® is a global alliance that brings together 12 of the world's leading airlines - American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific Airways, Finnair, Iberia, Japan Airlines, LAN, MalĂ©v Hungarian Airlines, Mexicana, Qantas Airways, Royal Jordanian and S7, as well as over 20 affiliate airlines. American Airlines is a founding member since 1999.

The idea behind oneworld is simple. Together, oneworld member airlines and their oneworld affiliate airlines offer a truly global network and a range of services and benefits that no single airline could offer on its own, making your worldwide travel easier and more rewarding.

oneworld has won more international "best airline alliance" awards than any other airline alliance. Its global network currently extends to more than 750 destinations in almost 150 countries around the world.

More Rewards For AAdvantage Members

One of the key benefits of oneworld to our AAdvantage members is the possibility of earning and redeeming AAdvantage miles on oneworld destinations not covered by American Airlines: that is a total of more than 750 alliance destinations worldwide across almost 150 countries.

AAdvantage members will be able to earn AAdvantage miles when travelling on qualifying flights with all 12 oneworld airlines and select affiliate airlines. Furthermore, these qualifying flights will also count towards advancing or maintaining your top tier status.

Iberia, British Airways And American Airlines. More Travel Options For You

From 1 October 2010, oneworld alliance members will benefit from improved travel choices and enhanced frequent flyer programmes resulting in the possibility to earn and redeem miles on all British Airways flights, including transatlantic U.K.-U.S. routes.

When redeeming your miles for a travel award, oneworld brings you more options than ever. In addition to the "All Airline Partner Awards" which allow travel on all oneworld airlines as well as other AAdvantage participant airlines, customers needing to travel to multiple destinations with multiple stopovers on one trip can claim a oneworld award.
