Unaccompanied Minors
- American Airlines DOES NOT PERMIT the transfer of unaccompanied minors to/from any other airline.
Please note that American Airlines considers “minors” up the age of 14. Alaska Airlines considers “minors” up the age of 12.
Meals
- Alaska Airlines offers complimentary meals in the First Class Cabin. Both Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air offer complimentary beverages and light snacks in the Economy Class Cabin. In addition, Alaska Airlines offers meals-for-purchase in the Economy Class Cabin for flights of greater than three hours duration. Neither Alaska Airlines nor Horizon Air offer any special meals such as vegetarian, low-sodium, low-fat, kosher, etc. on any flights.
Checked Baggage and Boarding Passes
- Check your baggage through to your final destination and obtain boarding passes for all American Airlines codeshare flights operated by Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air.
Please be advised that baggage charges and rules of Alaska and Horizon Air will apply for all AA* codeshare passengers.
Classes of Service Offered
- Flights operated by Alaska Airlines offer First Class and Economy Class service with the exception of Boeing 737-400 (73M), which offer Economy Class only. Flights operated by Horizon Air offer Economy Class only.
Pre-reserved Seats
- Available 331 days prior to departure.
Lounge Access
- American Airlines and Alaska Airlines do not currently have a lounge agreement that provides reciprocal lounge access for codeshare customers.

- You can earn elite-qualifying miles, segments, and points that count toward AAdvantage Gold®, AAdvantage Platinum® and AAdvantage Executive Platinum® status on American Airlines codeshare flights operated by Alaska Airlines/Horizon Air when your ticket reflects an "AA" coded flight number.
