Check-In Locations and Information

PASSENGERS ARE ADVISED TO CHECK-IN WITH THE AIRLINE OPERATING THE FLIGHT.

  • North America Gateway
    - If your flight is operated by Cape Air, check in at the Cape Air ticket/gate counter.

Connections and Airport Transfers

  • Check with the operating airline or local airport for departure/arrival terminal information.
  • Upon arrival, passengers are advised to proceed to the Transfer Desk / Transfer Area or departure gate of their connecting flight.
  • Time required to connect between the two airlines vary by airport.

Services and Amenities

  • Unaccompanied Minors
    - American Airlines DOES NOT PERMIT the transfer of unaccompanied minors to/from any other airline.
  • Meals
    - No meals offered by Cape Air
  • Checked Baggage and Boarding Passes
    - Passengers can check their baggage through to their final destination and obtain boarding passes for all American Airlines codeshare flights operated by Cape Air.
    - Cape Air is limited to 1 checked bag (not to exceed 50 lbs or 62 linear inches), 1 carryon bag, and 1 "wing" bag. No carryons are permitted inside the aircraft due to limited space, therefore all baggage (checked, carryon and wing) are stored in external baggage compartments. Bags weighing 50 lbs to 70 lbs are charged as excess baggage. No bags greater than 70 lbs, 62 linear inches or boxes are accepted on Cape Air operated flights.   • Pre-reserved Seats
    - Open seating
  • Lounge Access
    - Cape Air and American Airlines do not have reciprocal lounge agreements. Cape Air has no lounges.

AAdvantage Information

  • Mileage Accrual
    - Earn AAdvantage® miles on American Airlines codeshare flights operated by Cape Air.
    - To earn miles, your ticket MUST reflect an "AA" coded flight number connecting to/from an American Airlines flight.

  • Elite Status Qualification
    - You can earn elite status qualifying miles, points, and segments that count toward AAdvantage Gold®, AAdvantage Platinum® and AAdvantage Executive Platinum® membership on American Airlines codeshare flights operated by Cape Air to/from connecting AA flights. Your ticket must reflect an "AA" coded flight number. View more information about elite status.
  • Award Redemption
    - Not available at current time.

  • Reservations
    - Book a ticket for your travel on American Airlines codeshare flights operated by Cape Air online at AA.com.
  • Changes
    - To make changes to your American Airlines codeshare flight reservation, call American Airlines Reservations at 1-800-433-7300 in the U.S. (including Puerto Rico) and Canada.
    - For all other locations, please contact your local American Airlines reservations office.
