Elite Member Benefits:
As an elite member of the AAdvantage program, your status is recognized across the alliance, no matter which cabin class you fly in.

Earn AAdvantage Miles:
The number of AAdvantage miles you can earn when flying on an oneworld member airline depends on your fare class and which airline you're traveling on. To find out how many miles you can earn with each airline, view the individual airline page.
When flying on oneworld member airline, you can:
- Earn base miles counting toward AAdvantage elite status
- Earn class of service bonus miles
- Earn Elite Status Bonus
Redeem AAdvantage Miles:
When you're ready to redeem your miles for a travel award, oneworld brings you more options. In addition to the "oneworld & Other Airline Awards" which allow travel on all oneworld airlines as well as other AAdvantage participant airlines, customers needing to travel to multiple destinations with multiple stopovers on one trip can redeem an Explorer Award.

To help you make the most out of your precious time, the oneworld airlines allow you to relax or catch up with work in comfort and style before departure. Regardless of which oneworld member airline you choose to fly, you can have access to more than 550 airport lounges throughout the world, even when you fly in Coach Class cabin.
When you are travelling internationally on oneworld airlines, you will have access to the premium lounges based on your elite status or your cabin class :

Admirals Club Lounge Access
*AAdvantage Executive Platinum® and AAdvantage Platinum® members must be traveling on a same day itinerary that includes international segment. Excludes AAdvantage Executive Platinum and AAdvantage Platinum members traveling on solely North American itineraries. North America is defined as U.S. (including Hawaii and Alaska), Canada, Mexico, (except Mexico City), Bermuda, the Bahamas and the Caribbean.

- Issue your boarding passes for all your connecting oneworld flights
- Check-in your bags to your final destination
At many airports worldwide, oneworld airlines collocate within the same terminal to make connections easier and faster.

Global Support Services:
We realize that international connections can be stressful and that sometime things don't go as planned. This is why, at select connecting airports, oneworld airlines work together to monitor connecting flights and are prepared to proactively assist you when your connections are in jeopardy. Whenever possible, our customer service representatives will meet you upon arrival with "Express Connections" documents which will allow you to use dedicated fast track lines through customs, immigrations and security to expedite the connecting process. Our local bag teams will also be engaged to assist with transferring your bag so that it makes it on time to your final destination.
If you miss your connecting flight, our teams will do their best to provide you with updated travel information, new boarding passes and overnight accommodations vouchers if needed.

News:
- airberlin will become a full member of oneworld effective March 20, 2012, adding Europe's sixth largest carrier to the premier global airline alliance.
- Malaysia Airlines, one of aviation's more frequent award winners, is to join oneworld and is expected to start flying as part of the alliance in late 2012.
- As of Friday, February 3, 2012, Malév Hungarian Airlines suspended all operations until further notice.
- India's Kingfisher Airline's implementation into oneworld has been placed on hold to give Kingfisher Airlines time to strengthen its financial position.
