Participating Airlines

GOL

AA's AAdvantage relationship with GOL is discontinuing effective August 13, 2012. For GOL flights taken on/after August 13, 2012, mileage accrual will no longer be offered.

All award travel on GOL must be booked and ticketed by August 12, 2012. Travel is valid one year after ticket date and all award travel must be completed by August 12, 2013. No changes to the GOL flight segments will be allowed during that period.

Earn Miles

Earn miles when flying on GOL marketed and operated flights for travel on an eligible published fare ticket. Miles are also earned on GOL codeshare flights operated by American Airlines.

What is an eligible published fare ticket?

Eligible published fare tickets must be:

  1. Booked in a eligible booking code — find the fare booking code by looking for a single letter which immediately follows the flight number on your ticket. Next, compare this booking code against the airline's "Earn Miles" chart below to determine whether or not it is eligible to earn base miles and, at what percentage base miles will be accrued.
  2. On an eligible routing — check the airline's "Earn Miles" chart below to determine if any origin and destinations are excluded from earning base miles.

**Note - Travel ticketed as an AA marketed flight (booked as an AA flight number) and operated by GOL will earn AAdvantage base miles and elite qualifying miles, points and segments according to the AA mileage accrual chart.

Redeem AAdvantage Miles

Use AAdvantage miles to book award travel on GOL flights with the AAdvantage participating airlines awards. These awards allow travel on any combination of AAdvantage participating carriers.

All awards are valid for one-way travel — unless otherwise specified — and may be combined to create round-trip or multi-city travel. These awards are MileSAAver awards and as such are subject to special seating limitations and to certain travel embargo dates.

There are no Travel Embargo Dates on GOL in 2011.

Missing Mileage Credit

Please allow up to thirty (30) days for AAdvantage mileage to automatically post to your account.

To request missing mileage credit for flights flown on GOL, complete an online mileage request form. When completing this form, choose GOL from the "Select Airline Flown" drop-down menu.
